It all started when I perfected my BBQ sauce and began to share it with friends. With the BBQ sauce the way I wanted it, I focused on trying to make a great pulled pork sandwich. After a lot of trials with off the shelf rubs I couldn't get the exact flavor I was looking for. I began to experiment on my own with rubs and found a perfect combination. The combination I created is the Competition BBQ Rub we sell today. The creation of BarnYard Magic was along the same story line. I was looking for that perfect steak house seasoning and not only did we perfect it we found out it works magically on nearly anything. Chop Dust comes from my time volunteering and cooking pork chops for various organizations as a fundraiser. The seasoning we were using tasted good but relied on salt as the main flavor. I knew there was a better way so I went to work and Chop Dust is the result. Saucy Bottom BBQ products are the results of years of tinkering and perfecting my recipes but I'm not done, I plan to bring more offerings in the future once those are perfected as well. I'm constantly pitching new ideas to my R and D department better known as friends and family. For example I have 2 more bbq sauces, a taco seasoning, and a spicy mustard in the works and I have a few ideas for a fish seasoning that I have yet to start on.
